Terms and Conditions
By participating in the Type Treasury Project, you hereby agree that any letterforms, letter cards or other physical artifacts submitted to the Project are the sole property of Type Treasury. Type Treasury will undertake commercially reasonable best efforts to preserve, protect and display the artifacts in accordance with the stated goals of the Project for which they have been submitted, but no warranty or guarantee is offered as to either the presentation or preservation of the item(s).
You retain the ownership of any rights in the letterform artwork submitted to Type Treasury. Type Treasury will not sell or otherwise transfer ownership of any artifact without first making reasonable efforts to obtain your consent, such consent which shall not be unreasonably withheld. If Type Treasury is unable to locate you or reasonably able to obtain your consent to any transfer transaction within two (2) months of their first attempt to do so, Type Treasury may complete such transaction without incurring any liability to you under these Terms and Conditions.
By participating in the Project, you also hereby grant Type Treasury a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of and display any letterforms, lettercards or other physical artifacts submitted in connection with that Project, including, without limitation, for promoting in any media formats and through any media channels, other non-commercial and commercial purposes.
Type Treasury reserves the right to remove any artifact, image or collection of such from the Project as deemed necessary by the Type Treasury or advisable, upon notice to Type Treasury that any image or item is obscene in nature, pornographic, illegal or violates any laws. Any identifying information associated with such image or artifact will be reported to the authorities. Type Treasury also reserves the right to ban any individual artist or website domain from participating in the Project, for any reason.
Participation in Type Treasury Project and Your Information
When you sign-up for, and participate in the Type Treasury project, you will be asked to provide some personal information in order for us to facilitate your request. We herewith confirm that we will not sell or rent your private, personal information to companies or individuals outside of Type Treasury, unless legally required to do so.
When you submit materials to Type Treasury, these will be scanned and added to both our physical and digital library and archives. Please note that we do not screen the items for personally identifying information that may be included in the artwork itself. Should you have included any such information in your letterform, letter card or artwork, it will be stored and disclosed in the course of our general display and use of such materials.
